About Guerrero...speculation.

With HUMAN TARGET's 2nd season starting on October 1, I've got to thinking more about our favorite amoral operative. :)

My thoughts:

~Obviously, "Guerrero" is not his real name. It means "warrior" in Spanish, and he is not Hispanic (I'm guessing--in "Salvage & Reclamation" he appeared to struggle with the Spanish language, although that might have been a ruse). Also, in his line of work, if even Chance is not using his real name, why would Guerrero? Winston needs to use his real name because of his police contacts.

~There's been fearful anticipation that the new season would see Guerrero having a love/hate relationship with the new girl, Ames. Everyone here seems to worry that there will be 'shippiness abounding. Honestly, I don't see it happening outright, although to be frank I wouldn't mind a lot of "hinting"--but does the anxiety surrounding that possibility stem from fans' determination to see Guerrero in a "slash" relationship, or is it just general worry about the compulsion to "pair people up," and seeing a pair become canon?

Full disclosure: I ask the last, mainly out of curiousity. Secondarily, I am flabbergasted at how anyone could see Guerrero as anything but straight...but that's just me.

Opinions? I hope I haven't said anything offensive. I'm mainly just curious what everyone thinks.
