I'm curious about those "scars" he's got on the side of his head. You can see them in the first, fourth and fifth pictures.

Are those scars? I thought those were the wig edges crinkling up whenever he makes a face.

They are noticeably darkened and a very sharp pattern in the first pic, they definitely look like they are supposed to be scars. They could just be there to make him more "menacing". Or there might be some back story.

Either way, I'm all about the mutton chops. Dig 'em.

Seeing all these stills makes me excited for the show now. I wasn't too jazzed about the story even though I adore JEH, but I hope the movie/performance end up being awesome.

It does look really beautiful, and grand in a way silent films really couldn't look before because of technical limitations (check out those smooth cameras). I like the crisp, desaturated look.
