Whoo hoo I got one! Waited on line for about three hours, even though I didn't really have to. Talked to a bunch of folks who were waiting in line with us about all kinds of things Mac/Apple. Thoroughly satisfied with Apple's crowd control. The employees of the store brought out Bottles of water, and Starbucks came out with cups of coffee.

You are really shocked that I actaully went out and bought one? I figured it was a given even with all the hedging I did....if thats what I did, it sounds right....

I loved how people lined up for HOURS to be the first to get it, but 1) it took most from 6 - 24 hours to get it activated and 2) there was no shortage. You could have walked up on Saturday morning to pick one up without waiting in line.

We were on line at teh Short Hills Mall at 3:30 or so. The Apple employees came out and reassured us there were plenty of phones. It was fun to get into the craze....

Mine took more than 36 hours to activate. I started at 2 am Friday (Saturday really) it said by 2 am Sunday I should be able to use it but not receive calls. It just sat there looking pretty. 8 pm Sunday, when I tried to call a freind from my Verizon phone to see if hi iPhone was working, I couldn't make the call so I knew that my iPhone was activated so I rushed home and set it up, and its great!!!!
