Got up this morning and went into the kitchen. Maddie had a little bag and was munching on the contents. At first I thought it was chips in a single serve bag. That IS a big family!

It's nice that your MIL will do things for the girls. My MIL never tries to help out with her grandkids, and then winds up buying things that I've specifically told her we don't need.

It is quite the bunch. I still get overwhelmed when more than 4 of them are in one place at the same time. Holidays when I was a kid were my parents, me, my brother, and sometimes my grandparents. Not the circus that happens with Joe's big family. :)

Yes! We've never taken for granted that my mom and Joe's parents have been generous with the Girls. When we were poor the only reason the kids had anything new (toys, clothes, shoes...) was because our parents bought them stuff.

We would have gotten some sort of clothing for start of school if we needed to, but we certainly wouldn't have gotten everything all at once, nor would it have all been new.
