I was so thinking it was going to be a proposal on the first date or something. Haha.

It was after 2 years of dating, or there abouts anyway, but the night sure ended better than it started.

Nice story, it's a pretty nervewracking time for a guy, wondering if she will say yes.

HAHAHAHA!!! Wow, what an ending to that one. I wasn't expecting it. Are you still together with him now?

Yes! 7 years and 3 daughters later we're still going strong. :-D

By the time I read the first "foul mood", I was going "Oh, this is when Joe proposed!" Not like we know each other well or anything. ;)

Belated Happy Anniversary, guys!

Did you see his little appartment when you were out there? Man, that was a tiny little thing!

Actually, I don't think I did. We did visit it very briefly for you to pick something up, but I stayed in the car with the moms. Then you all kept me pretty busy - I was only there for a total of maybe 36 hours, so there wasn't a lot of wiggle room.

UW Marshfield/Wood was apparently having some serious enrollment issues that year, too, and they told us that if we missed the first day of any of our classes, it would count as an automatic drop. The kind of irrefutable circumstances of the Army rearranging your life on you last minute gave me a bit of leeway, but a few of my profs were rather skeptical of my excuse for missing the first day, so I really didn't want to push my luck.
