No baby yet.  WIth the way things were going on Wednesday I thought for sure that she'd show up before this week was over.  I no longer belive this is the case.

Yesterday I woke up with a surprising amount of energy and a will to accomplish something.  So I drug Joe out of bed and off to Lowes where we spent $70 on some cement garden border thingies ( Read more... )

You know, I've noticed that in a lot of the books or stories I read involving pregnant women, they almost *always* have a huge "OMG, GET STUFF DONE!" cleaning and/or restless activity spree right before they go into labor. Just saying... ;)

That said, yay attacking the garden! Sounds kinda fun, even if it was 35 degrees and rainy.

With Alta one day I woke up and noticed that the windows in the appartment were filthy. So I hauld my pregnant butt up on a chair and washed every single window, inside and out. I thought for sure that was my 'nesting' thing and that she would be showing up shortly. We'll just say the windows were pretty much back to their original state 3 weeks later when I was still pregnant.

Lilly I don't remember anything along those lines. 'Course the Bitch Doctor had me induced right on my due date so there's no telling when Lilly was supposed to show up.

This time around I'm just taking advantage of feeling energetic. Really, even though I over did it yesterday there's no way that I'll be feeling up to doing ANY sort of heavy work for at least 6 or 7 weeks after the baby does show up. If she's not really coming for another 2 or 3 weeks so be it, in the mean time I'm gonna have a nice looking front garden. LOL!

Maybe you're using your secret Mom-meld powers and this sudden interest in gardening is actually Next Baby's hobby of choice. I mean, she has got to be super bored just floating around in there after all. ;) Maybe she's playing "Lets see how much manipulation I can work from the womb!" Or something.

That said, random I MISS YOU! shout out. Seriously, we need to figure out how the heck to get together more often than every 5 years.
