[I'M PUSHING THE RED BUTTON, K.]

...There were better places he could be right now.

Unless perhaps a sleepy little inn on the front lines of their war against the Lich King was supposed to be a bonding experience to strengthen their ties?

Ah, yes the key to winning--the power of friendship.

Darion made his way forward, taking steps and examining his setting. Was this some kind of ( Read more... )

[Here, possibly, is a recognizable face. In the sense that Krenyn Bloodflame was around the Scourge for a number of years before all that Acherus business, anyway.

See the nice queldorei death knight, hanging out near the fireplace?]

Highlord.

[And look here, a thoughtful expression follows the respectful greeting.]

Ah, a familiar voice. It was good to have allies in strange places.

Darion made his way over to the fire place, nodding a greeting towards the Blood Elf.

"Krenyn."

We seem to be growing in numbers again.

[One might say he's mildly amused. The dry tone indicates at the very least, an amicable mood.]

This is the Caverns of Time. You were brought here by the bronze dragons... or whatever mysterious trouble has drawn them away for the time being.

"For what reason?"

Sigh... he definitely had better places to be.

[There's someone looking at you VERY warily from across the room, Darion. But don't worry. It's just some skinny woman wearing leathers and with one of her arms in a sling. ...Okay, and she's got a knife.]

You're... you're not homicidal, are you? B-because we've got enough of THOSE type here. A-and you'd better watch out, mister.

He's here. Somewhere.

Darion was a Death Knight. He'd seen his own share of people who've been touched in the mind... and he supposed this place wasn't going to be any different with its lot of the mad.

Glancing over at the woman, he observed her for a moment, thinking on how to respond.

"Who's here?"

[Sabette, despite the on-edge behavior, isn't touched in the head. She's just a little scared. Someone smashed her shoulder out of its socket with a hammer a few days ago. It's understandable. But that? Yeah, no big deal compated to the bombshell she's about to drop.]

A-Arthas. The Lich King. He's here. Somewhere. I-I don'tknow where, but I saw him with my own two eyes!

[See, here is him nodding at her as he passes, like a good tamed death knight.]

[Tirion gets up from his chair at one of the tables in the inn to approach and respectfully greet his fellow Highlord.]

Darion.

He nodded at Sabette. She was a strange character, but she seemed... nice.

"Tirion."

[Tirion glanced at Sabette - he knew her, and hoped she was doing alright in the aftermath of Putress' plague - before returning his attention to Darion.]

So how much have you been told about this place so far?

"That it's the Cavern of Times. I've been told about a few of the residents." Was there more to know?

"How long have you been here?"

Mograine was back from his otherworldly stay, the corrupted Ashbringer slung over her shoulders. He was listening to his new iPod, a gift from one of his friends in the other world when he noticed a certain form there.

That stance...!

"My son!" exclaimed Alexandros in delight, popping the iPod earphonse from his ears and shoving it into his jeans pocket.

Darion didn't recognize the apparel the figure was dressed in--but he could recognize that sword and face, and the sound of his voice.

"Father?"

Mograine let out a hearty laugh as he strode up to the death knight. "My son, my dear sweet son, I see you at last! Come give your father a hug!"

Darion wasn't sure what to do--he was glad to see his father, but then he felt a mix of emotions--doubt, hope and maybe a bit of shame that he'd meet his father again not as a vessel of the Light like he used to be, who his father was proud of, but as a shell of his former self.

But nonetheless, he stepped forward and gave the older Mograine an embrace.
