The Royal Apothecary Society operates under a very strict three-part system. Starting with research and development, all the most potent poisons and plagues find their way into the world through Grand Apothecary Putress’s hands -- once these are perfected, they’re delivered to their targets via vial, syringe, catapult, spreader, whatever latest

[Perhaps he didn't succeed, for as he sweeps to his feet and approaches the seated Putress, arms are wide open and his features virtually transformed by a welcoming smile as one might expect to see in response to the presence of a dear friend or beloved relative.]
Lytalia, it is has been a long road. [He says in cheerful-sounding Thalassian to Putress, the notable echo in so many of his kind's voices oddly absent for a lighter, living tone.] And you are as beautiful as ever, of course.
[He laughs and attempts to unabashedly gather the Apothecary into his arms in a way any good brotherly figure might. Speaking of...]Which only means my brother suffers for nothing in the ( ... )

It's been a while, hasn't it? I was wondering when you'd show up. I missed you.
[She looks at the carnage Krenyn left behind him and... looks sad. Poor sad warrior girl. Poor sad hallucinating warrior girl. (Sounds like an album title).]
Why did you do that? She wasn't hurting anyone.

Yes, just what are you doing, Death Knight?

[But lo and behold, who else would show up but the Highlord of the Argent Crusade himself? To Putress's delight (if it was possible for him to feel something like delight), it looked like Fordring hadn't divined the cause of the ruckus or noticed Putress's presence.
[Yes, yes, perhaps this would solve everything for the moment. He'd just have to see how matters played out with this new addition to the board...The apothecary smiled, and backed out of line of sight into a darkened alcove.]

She was ill. Dying. I ended her suffering so the one who caused it would not benefit as much as he already has.
[But his answer was quiet and might have been missed. To be honest, to think that Krenyn did not know of the paladin's presence would be pretty far-fetched, so we shall not stretch believability too greatly here.]
Good afternoon, Highlord Fordring.
[It seems that, for all the title is given, there is no sign of repentance, no sign of sudden 'oh shit' or insipid politeness or defensiveness. He's doing just what it looks like he's doing, whether or not the cause is known. The blood of the orc is still on his hands ( ... )

But you heal people. It's the oath you took, remember? You said you would do your utmost to heal the sick and protect their hearts. You promised, Mitiann.
[Obviously, he's not Mitiann. As to WHO Mitiann is, well, that's left unsaid. Leileann sits back in her chair, hands folded in her lap, and watches the goings-on with interest.]
Highlord Fordring, sir, tell him how silly he's being, won't you? I'm fine. Honest!

Do you know who released it and how? What are all the symptoms so far?
[Tirion touches his forehead with his fingertips, which glow softly with the Light as he attempts to cleanse himself, for all the good it might do. He knows what happened at Angrathar, and remembers how his efforts to save Bridenbrad ended. With a grimace, he murmurs to the Death Knight,]
I'm afraid I do not have the resources nor allies call upon here as I did at Icecrown. But I will try what I can before I allow you to resort to mercy.
[He then turns to give the girl a sympathetic look.]
You may feel fine, but you might have contacted something as well. Will you let me ease his fears and allow me to heal you?

[He gestures at the orc as Example A. That little twist of a smile from earlier? It seems to be back and grows wider.]
As for whom, I think I will take care of that problem right now. May your Light preserve these victims, Highlord.
[It seems a dry formality, though at the same time, there was no sarcasm coming from the death knight - a part of him really looks to sincerely hope Tirion will be able to save the infected. But not Putress, no. He's looking for you now, Grand Apothecary, and the death knight knows he's given ample time for the Forsaken to prepare.
He knows it's just as unlikely that Putress would have left the room when he couldn't observe firsthand the effects.
It might make him smile just a tiny bit more. After all, wouldn't that be part of the challenge?]

[Even before Tirion's conversation with the blood elf came to an end, Putress had quietly exited -- for one, he had no desire to confront a heavily armed death knight in such an enclosed space. For two, he would prefer that the Highlord not interfere. A death knight was enough trouble without a paladin to assist. And for three...Well, if a fight did break out, Putress wanted to preserve his specimens as well as possible for retrieval later ( ... )

Well... okay. If it'll get Mitiann to stop worrying so much, feel free, Your Highlordship... ness. You'll see. I'm perfectly fine and not sick at all. You'll both see!
[Permission granted, Tirion. Knock yourself out. Er, not literally. Darion's not around to help if you do that again.]

He gives Krenyn a measuring look, briefly unsure if he should let him go take care of the one responsible alone. But if he delayed the Death Knight, the culprit would just have that much more time to prepare and there were people who required healing.]
Be careful then, Death Knight.
[He turns his attention back to the infected warrior.]
Why don't you come with me, and I'll ensure that you're all right.
[He intends to lead her somewhere away from the common room, to avoid possible reinfection, and out of the way of any conflict.]
