I will admit that some bits were a bit extravagant for me, but I really liked these parts:

It's fucking awesome - lust and electricity and want and desperate hunger - and a few months ago Kurt might have thought that such feelings were depersonalizing at best and depraved at worst ( ... )

I found this refreshing and it really resonated with me, though I can't pinpoint exactly why. I think it was the linking of a quickie in the backseat outside of a seedy bar with deep feeling. I've devoured so much Klaine fanfic over the last year that nothing seemed to be sticking with me lately. But this did.

Thank you. I love the feels even in quickies. Maybe even more in quickies than in non-quickies.

(However, I think it was probably the gay penguins that made it stick. That's what makes it stick for me. I always think of this scene as "The one in which Kurt thinks of gay penguins.")

Mmmmm happy birthday to meee! I've tried to read this three different times and have been interrupted every time up till now (but once was for actual sex, so that's forgivable...) This was sweet in a surprising, not-so-typical way, and showed perfectly how live looks different at different times, how it can just like CONSUME you. Thank you for posting it for me, love!
