So, the previous post made me realize that no one here has posted about the two tamable slugs here. I figured I'd put up the info, because after 5.2 they won't be tamable anymore; however, so far they they are grandfathered on PTR. Historically unless a mistakenly tamed hunter pet is game breaking or exploitive they let you keep them. I still ( Read more... )

I saw the WTWTA videos for these a while ago, but my hunter has no more stable space and I'm torn about whether I should release the rare purple worm from Krasarang Wilds to get one. :(

That is a tough choice. I regularly do random pet challenge at petopia so I tend to have a free space at all times to tame something. That said I'd never replace Thor( my golden worm) with one of these.
I'd say you could get one and try it out and always go back to Bombyx(a very pretty silk worm), but he's likes to taunt you and drive you crazy when you try to track him. I don't know how much issue you had getting him to start with.

Of course, I'm sure all the new pets coming in 5.2 is going to have you tearing out your hair at lack of space. I know many people with that issue.

Yupe. If you want, I could put up an entry consolidating all the info I have on them into one place? Which of course would be mostly under a spoiler cut for those who don't want to know.

So, far I've been lucky in not getting too attached to too many, so I generally have a few spaces with pets that are only with me for a little while before they go off to do something else. It also probably helps that I got 3 hunters and I get attached to some of my hunter friends pets so I don't need them myslef. >.>

It's not that I get attached to them, it's that I have an addiction to rares. I gotta catch 'em all, but no space.

Those show the current sizes, though, right? I didn't watch to the end, but I think I've already seen these videos.
Mine are that size. Silkworm size is quite a bit smaller.

I don't actually have a picture but if you check the end of the the one video about the change, Amber Parasites Followup, They look like they are little over half the size. So, they are still fairly hefty I would think?

Though I suppose that would be a matter of what our opinions of hefty are. :)

Yea, her blog is an excellent summation of the stuff on petopia forums. Plus you get to see stuff move around and she has such a wonderful voice.

I highly recommend it to any hunter pet lovers! :D
