I'm Terrible With Computers...

... So when someone messes with the computer, and promptly makes it so half of those interwebs doesn't work, I'm at a loss as to how to fix it.
Basically, long story short: someone got irritated and messed with our family's computer, and now literally everything that uses flash, and/or Java, doesn't work.

Just taking a quick stab here, but have you gone through the permissions settings in flash, Java, and browser separately? They may have unticked something vital in their ragefest.

Browser, yes. I'm not sure where to go for Flash and Java, though; if they're in the Internet Options, I haven't found it yet.

it sounds like your computer's having trouble installing the latest version of flash, which is required for wowhead's viewer (don't think it uses java anymore, see this:

if you're in windows xp/vista/7, i would try going to control panel - add remove programs and uninstalling every version of flash you see, then downloading it from here

I'm using Win7 at the moment. Unfortunately I've already uninstalled and reinstalled twice, and tried updating about three times now.

If nothing else is working, you can try to restore the computer back to a point where all those things worked. Something they did might have corrupted something.

Also, the usually advice of virus scan, malware scan, all that stuffs. I hope you get it working!
