How do I warrior?

SO. I had an account to use for a scroll of resurrection, and I had this great RP concept for a fighter character, and I thought-- Hey self, you're an experienced raider and a competent end game player! So what if you've -never- played this class, you can figure it out ( Read more... )

I took a look at Noxxic, and it kind of only scratches the surface and doesn't explain very well. I'd recommend the MMO Champ guide here instead since it breaks things out into nice chunks with basic/advanced labels as needed and explains the why of things.

Essentially, the arms "rotation" is a priority list that revolves around Colossus Smash > Mortal Strike > Overpower > filler, with procs and other things thrown in.

Procs to watch for: Taste for Blood: mash OP. (Don't use OP if it hasn't procced) And Battle Trance gives you a free Heroic Strike.

Do not overlap CS debuffs. Let CS fall off then reapply.

After a CS, try to fit as many MS and OPinto the CS debuff window as you can (Quartz is super for keeping track of this).

Do not delay MS, as that is a DPS loss. You can delay OP for a GCD or two if you have to. Always be mashing something.

I would -love- power auras strings!

The guides on the forums are pretty thorough and helpful! 4.3 guide for fury and for arms.

E: I need to learn to read previous comments.

FWIW prot is in a really, really good place right now, so you might actually have less trouble with it, gear be damned. Prot CDs and rotation are very straightforward.

I just picked up dual spec, so I may start eyeballing what I'd need for prot. Just sword and board, right? Maybe I can find some cata greens on the AH...

Sword and board and a shit ton of mastery. Actual tanking gear is preferable, but you can improvise w/your reforges and gemming in normals and it shouldn't be a huge problem.

I am no help, but I feel for you. I made a Boomkin with my scroll. My play style has so far been "Moonfire spam? Moonfire spam!! :DDD"

oh god, I decided to try boomkin on my level 60 druid because my RP/playing partner has.. alot of alts and most of them are at 85, and she has experience playing different specs than I do-- so I go crying for help all the time, and.. boomkin confuses me so muuch. I prefer being kitty. ;D
