One thing that helped me a lot is configuring IceHUD to show me Searing Flames stacks in addition to Maelstrom Weapon stacks. :) If you use IceHUD, anyway; more and more I'm finding people don't like specialized UIs (or maybe that's just people I know...)

I have some power auras strings that might be useful (I am dual specced enhance and resto) that yells at me when I need to redrop my searing totem, and our rotation is alot simpler than it used to be.

Feel free to pm! (and I can post links to the strings when I get home from work, if they're something you'd be interested in)

Regarding UI, I used Elv until 4.3, and went back to LUI. I don't use totem timers or anything shaman-specific. For Resto, I use grid+clique, always have.

Oh, yes, some strings would be fantastic! :O I've never really used power auras before (I was naughty and stuck with S&A), and the, uh, learning curve for configuring it is a bit steep.

Are UI mods really that important? I could never figure them out, I just used MoveAnything on the default UI, but should I start using one since I have to relearn the game anyway...?

I never used shaman specific ones, I just liked having a pretty, clean interface. (IE, I hate the default one) So if you're okay with the default interface, I see no reason why you should feel obligated to change :)

This is what I use for enhancement. I moved things around, changed the icons, etc to suit me (that part's really easy), so feel free to tweak as needed ( ... )
