I read half of it but couldn't force myself to finish no matter what, and I love reading. It just was a snooze to me which sucks since I did like other Warcraft books.

I'm going to be a downer here:

All of the Warcraft tie in books are bad in some way. Knaak's are, in my opinion, particularly bad, though Golden is doing her novel best to catch up.

War of the Ancients is bad, nonsensical and non-canon due to lol-timetravel. It's frankly not worth the effort if you're looking for canon. If you're looking for a drinking game, I'd suggest this instead.
