Really dumb question about soloing heroics.

I'd like to farm the T1 recolor set for transmog for my mage, and I know most of the pieces drop from heroic BC dungeons. I'm not worried about my ability to solo the dungeons, but...well, I can't figure out how to get into them ( Read more... )

click on your picture in the left hand corner and it should give you a bunch of options including 5 man dungeons and it will let you turn on heroics.

Basicially what lisasimpsonfan said but with one addition:

for the Auchindoun (or however you spell that place...) dungeons, you need to farm rep with the Lower City.
Once you're...err o_O revered, I think, you can purchase a key for the heroic dungeons.
Then it's back to the ol' "click your picture etc"

I can do auchindoun without the key... They took the keys away.

If it's set to heroic but still goes to reg when you zone in, you don't have enough rep. You need to be honored to switch it to heroic for real. (I found this out on my shaman a few weeks ago.)

AFAIK the only one you can't just go into on heroic is MT? I had to run it on normal and do the quests to unlock heroic, but then again that was before 4.3 dropped. I've never ever been bounced out of a dungeon for not having high enough rep to do it on heroic. Which ones required rep? I didn't think I'd missed any that weren't raid instances. (dang, now I have to go check my dungeon achieve lists! heh)

I did H Sethekk, H SL and H Ramps on my shaman after 4.3, and I needed to be honored to switch them to heroic. If I wasn't honored, and walked in, it automatically swapped back to reg.

Yup, what they said about the Auch instances. I think they kept the honored requirement for heroics just to make Sethekk Halls a challenge for those who are mount farming for the bird. Likewise with MT's heroic version. Can't just waltz in for a pretty and waltz back out. They want you to work for it.

That's strange... I used to farm H Sethekk Halls on my warlock for the 50 mounts achievement, and she's only friendly with the Lower City *scratches head*
