I'm in a super competitive guild and have finally gotten the chance to experience a new expansion with them. It's been so fun to be able to feel like a part of the group, get loot, and accomplish what we wanted to accomplish. I struggled being new in Firelands because it took me months to be passed any loot (just the way priority works around here

we got to the third platform and had to call the raid because we were already past end time and people had to go. T_T

did you go SV or are you still rocking MM??

i rocked MM for the whole guild raid and then did LFR in my new gear as survival and it was like 36k ST dps it was nutso. So for next week progression modes I'll be in survival. It's AWESOME

i've been trying to decide if i should go SV or stay MM. on the PTR i got lucky and won 2pc t13 when i ran the raid... i am gonna try running it tomorrow and hope everyone who is rolling against me has already gotten all their gear and i'll have a better chance of winning cuz damn that 2pc set looks nice.

i just gotta remember how to play SV first >_>

most people I know in top guilds have their hunters going survival. it's really insane, plus it's just so much less work than MM. it took me a while to stop casting cobra shot twice in a row but it's really a simple as prioritizing explosive, then black arrow and hitting those on CD, arcane for focus dump and keep serpent sting up. I glyph kill shot in survival and use that as #1 priority shot when it's up. that's basically about it

Usually in a 25 man we roll on loot but we don't run heroic mode progression with 25 people so we have the people in group 1 ("the" 10 man) picking up the loot from normal modes since they will be the ones trying for heroic progression next week, for a good rank. In g1 it's a loot council and then once we are done with all progression we do DKP for 25 man.

We're hitting Dragon Soul up tonight, and I've got some high hopes - though it's going to be difficult ever letting go of my disc priest's T12 2 and 4pc bonuses. >.

It really depends on when it procs. :| The RNG aspect of it (how do I know if the next bubble I cast will have the buff? What if my Rapture already proc'd and is on cooldown for the next 12 seconds? What if it procs and the bubble I cast doesn't get broken?) is making me go "eeeeeh". That and the 2 pc is kind of meh.

yeah the last half is a HUGE pain. the pug LFR I was in ignored more of the mechanics of the bosses and some of them were even removed for LFR. I can't imagine pugging the last four but I'm sure they'll make it doable. Ultraxion made my brain melt.
