Yeah my constant need for new things, I want to roll a lock now haha I don't think any of my toons will ever reach 85 (maybe in like a year lol) but hey, I'm having fun learning about each race and class so oh well lol

So you seem like you've played both demo and affliction for a while, which do you prefer and why? Trying to choose what spec to choose whenever I do decide to make her lol.
My first warlock leveled Destruction back in Vanilla. Tryna was a magelock, as it was called then. I didn't even know. It was really hard, but I had fun. I ended up leveling through Outland as affliction, and I really didn't like it. But it was the only way to stay alive at the time. Lots of what you saw, drain life, dotting. But I had tried the felguard when he became available for demo and hated it.
Come Wrath, everyone said Demo was the way to level, so I went back to demo. I still don't like it. It's why she's still 73, likely!
But my baby gobbo lock has been affliction since day one. I like multi-dotting mobs, with the occasional need to drain life. Mainly to get me some health back after tapping to get mana back. My felpup does well so far, but I haven't gotten her into Northrend so much, so we'll see how she does there. I do really miss the long Drain Life times back when I was leveling my first lock...it's a much much much shorter channel now. But I do like dotting all the things. :D
I really should add that the thing I miss the MOST on my goblin lock is Cannibalize. I abused the hell out of that while leveling my undead. Maybe you don't need it so much now with the Harvest Souls ability, but I would tap and eat the mobs I'd just killed ALL THE TIME.
All three specs are different enough to keep things interesting, IMO. Demo has a pretty complex rotation, affliction is all about keeping DoTs rolling, and destro kills things with fire, which as a mage you're probably familiar with. :D
My mage is actually arcane haha so I'm not too familiar with fire. I'd really like to roll a belf lock though. Despite their rep I love them lol, favorite race after trolls horde side.
I love my belf lock. She was originally rolled just to check out the belf starting areas, but the lock gameplay was just so fun that she became my main. She's been demo since she hit level 50 back in BC, and I recently went back to affliction as my second spec to practice it, so those are the specs I'm most familiar with if you need any help.
Since the talent tree changes in Cata, it's much easier to level as any spec now because you get some of the core abilities when you pick your spec, like the Felguard for Demo.
I am currently working on my own baby lock. I've never quite been able to get into it, but then I rolled Sevyne, and I've been loving her. I find that as affliction, I have a lot of fun using my various spells. On aoe, yes I just do rain of fire, but I think that changes a bit later as you get more spells. It did take me a bit to be able to keep up with others on damage, but around 35, it started really kicking in. Anyways, this is her:
Haha thanks! =D I told my husband and he gave me a bit of a sideeye, but then decided it was cool. XD It certainly makes her a lot more fun to play, even though I'm not on an rp server lol. (She certainly thinks the demons are more fun than the man ever was, too. :P)
