hi all! I'm just wondering, how many of you ladies out there are avid soloers (soloists?), like myself? Soloing is the main reason I made a DK, and got her to 85. I've been off wow for a little bit, and come back to see that I've forgotten how to stay alive :x ( Read more... )

I am SO big on soloing. I don't mind groups, but my preference is for soloing. I've got an 85 Resto Druid, and the best part about getting to level 85 was the soloing.

I do a bit on my DK, it's kind of time consuming. I haven't done Illidan yet, or much level 80 content though, wtb time :<

There's nowhere I look specifically, maintankadin and mmo champ have occasional soloing stuff. Mostly I just enjoy the challenge of working it out myself.

I've been a solo player since the day I started. I originally ended up soloing because I was on satellite internet and had horrible latency (and the few times I did group, my reaction times were far too long), but once I got used to it, I found that I preferred going it alone. I got used to just running around, doing my own thing.

Sometimes it's challenging to solo, but I learned to dual-box and run two toons at the same time, so if there's anything really tough, I'll hop on my second account and bring in another toon (usually my pally).

I don't really have a list of sites that I frequent, although wowhead.com is my primary go-to for most things (items, quest rundowns, gear searches, etc). Wowpedia.com is another one. I also read this comm regularly, and most of the time, if I have questions, I can ask them here and get a lot of helpful responses. Another site is gotwarcraft.com, which has some useful information regarding classes and each spec.

I really enjoyed soloing things back in Wrath on my DK like Onyxia when she was still a level 60 40 man raid and Magister's Terrace, but I haven't done much of it in Cata. I duoed most of SSC, TK, and BT with my fiance and will probably tend to do that more often now than soloing.

There are a couple of bloggers that have some nice guides and info on soloing. Mostly, I see it with hunters because of the pet being a separate entity so it's more like duoing. A couple of the blog/sites I could dig out (which may no longer be active) are:
http://wowalone.blogspot.com/ - general soloing
http://dksolo.blogspot.com/ - very old but dk specific
http://dreamsofisorath.wordpress.com - some good info tagged "undermanning"

I personally do some "undermanning" and soloing of instances, it was an early poke at the strength of dks in WotLK to solo the initial heroics (boy do I have some fun stories of that). Good Luck and Have Fun!
