I, too, have a guild full of awesomeness. :) I just started playing again a couple months ago and decided I wanted a new server. And maybe even to try RP! I found wow_ladies and saw a fun event posted. Attended the event (even though I was scared!) and had a great time. The hosting guild even recruited me! But it gets better. :)

They have been unbelievable; encouraging, fun to play with, and always telling me to be quiet when I appologise too much for being such a noob. :p Once, I expressed my love for bunnies (oh god, I love them!!!) and a guildie (you know who you are! <3) sent me an adorable mechanical bunny, just because! And they insist on dragging me along on pre-cata raids, even though I'm so clueless, just so I can get practice, and achievies, and simply be a part of things. :) (I say pre-cata because I'm not quite yet ready for cata!) Every time I log in I get greeted as if I'm part of the family, and it makes me so

Aww that's so awesome! I'm glad you found such a great WoW home! It's so amazing when you finally find the guild that feels like a real family instead of like, "that group of people you associate with in the game". XD Yay for guild squee!

Edit: Also, thanks for the grats! I'm pretty excited to get pushed up to 76 mounts. ^_^

Exactly! When I first returned to WoW, I was hesitant to even join a guild. I was new, had never run a dungeon or raid, was clueless about gear, and so on. But now I understand how big a difference it can make. :)

Bunnies are awesome! My girlfriend went and collected chocolate eggs on every single character that didnt already have the pet just to get Spring Rabbit because it looks very very similar to Mr Bunbun (one of our two rabbits irl). A couple of guildies sent us mechanical bunnies for christmas too :D

My guildmates know I've been having a rough month IRL (husband laid off, grandfather gravely ill and now passed away, mom moved in temporarily) even without knowing all the details, they have kept me laughing with the random greys/whites they mail me for giggles. Keep me laughing on vent. Let me break down and cry mid raid (why hello there cho'gall we'll get to you when our resto shammy is okay. you just sit there and wait) Nothing like a gnome stripping naked and putting on bunny ears running around using wands from halloween on others to make you smile. Nothing like seeing our main tank pull as a bear then all the sudden shrink down cuz someone bunnied him AS he pulled. Oh the laughter causing wipes.
Just recently one of my guildmates who has become a really close friend IRL came to visit us. He surprised me with bottles of wine, another guildmate knowing how rough it had been had asked him to bring me some from her since she couldn't.

Aw, that's so sweet. I'm very sorry about your RL struggles. It's not easy. :( But it's so good to hear that your guildies are being so supportive. :) And the tank-bunny is beautiful. So worth the wipe (and many more) if it made you smile. <3 I hope things start looking up for you soon. /many hugs

That's great that you have such an amazing group of supportive guildies. I'm sorry to hear you're having so many struggles in rl. I hope their support continues to brighten your days until things start looking up. =)

Same exact thing happened to me!! My birthday was on Wednesday and a guildie texted me saying that she had a code she wanted to email to me, could she please have my email... I was napping at the same, but that got me SQUEEING and dying from anticipation, so I got up and ran to my inbox. :3 While checking email, I was also looking online and noticed that the Winged Guardian came out that day, and was all like AGIOASOIUHDF DID SHE REALLY GET ME THAT?!?! :O :O :O

AND SHE DID!!! :) Thus the reason for the "friends are awesome" tag in my LJ. XD I figured my friends deserve that!! But I was also not really expecting anything, especially from guildies, for my birthday (except "happy birthday" or something like that).

On a random note, turns out that at least two other guildies and I share a birthday. \o/ More awesomeness, hehehe.

Awesome story, though!!! Sweet people are sweet. :)

For the last week I've been scrimping and scraping to try and get a Tsunami Deck since I saw one up on the AH for 14.5k. Come tonight before BH I'm at 12.4K and a guildie offers to lend me the 2k to get the Deck so I can go get my card. I go to the AH.. it's gone!

So off I trot to BH going "D:" cause It's been up all week and the second I go to get it, it's gone.

Just as we start the run I get a trade window open up from my GL with "Blue Wrapped Present" I accept and open it... and it's a freaking TSUNAMI CARD! I was squeeing so hard! XD

I offered to pay her the gold that I have saved up for it but she won't take it!

So I'm a happy resto shammy right now :D

Thanks for the grats, and grats to you on your awesome trinket! That's so cool that your guild leader did that. ^_^ It's so great to see so many stories of awesome guilds, since a lot of the time what we see is people asking for advice on drama and politics. xD

Yeah :) I'm loving my guild :D I joined a few weeks back when they were asking for an Ele Shammy.. and well .. I'm full time resto now and they helped get me geared so quick. We got our first Nef kill Thursday night and I was a healer for it. I never expected to see Nef before the nerfs to tell the truth. I love my guild so much right now :D I'm not regretting going over to the EU servers one bit right now.

One thing I wish I could do is farm for the Fox Kit pet for her. I got mine today before she got me the card and since it's BoP I can't :(

My guild leader tells me she wants to adopt me on a regular basis and that makes me feel super fuzzy! I love my guild soooooooo much. YAY AWESOME GUILDS

Haha thanks! It's nice to see so many good stories about guildies. With all the posts people have asking for advice on drama, it's easy to forget that there's so much awesome going around too. ^_^
