I read that one and I'm still not sure how to take it. I'm glad about them learning it earlier and the cd being lowered but, I'm not sure on how the threat (or lack thereof) will play out.

(That one and the one about not flying once again in Ghostlands)

HERE PATCH, PATCH! (Getting sick of hearing about it and not actually getting it, lol)

It is actually sort of a buff, if you change your spec some. It is a bit complicated, but they explain it in this blog post way better than I can: http://theincbear.com/4-1-what-in-the-fu-changes/

That blog is also a great feral resource in general. But it sounds like popping enrage at the start of a fight will make aoe tanking much easier after the patch. We will have to see how it actually plays out though.

After reading that..
it just seems that bears are just going to be doing a lot of dps again. It's also very informative so thanks :D
It didn't really answer my threat question tho, because my main concern is that over geared dps can easily pull aggro from me. Reading the post, it seems that blizz is buffing bear dps to match it?

yeah, I'm not sure why they traded out threat for the dps increase, since threat gen is a *problem*? Unless threat gen from the increased dps will greatly outweigh the bonus threat gen they're trading, it just doesn't make sense. Maybe they're buffing the threat gen from feral dps in the process?
*baffled too*

I think the issue is they're trying to get away from any threat modifiers and have threat strictly related to damage. I don't have the exact post but a while ago they said something along the lines of "Lots of tanks have told us that spamming high threat moves like sunder armor is boring, they want to do damage to do threat". So they moved the threat model to more damage = more threat instead of the old threat modifiers ( ... )

if damage doesn't relate to threat i may just go back to being a kitty and tank with my paladin.

The change baffles me because I know from my bear-friends that threat is an issue as it is, and bear dps was lowered originally because it was considered OP (especially in PvP), so I'm not sure how lowering threat and increasing dps helps either issue?

I thought about this as well. The main thing I do is PVP and I'm our teams primary flag carrier. Right now when I'm in bear form holding a flag I lightly tap enemy DPS on the face while they laugh and proceed to attempt to blow me up. Now I may actually be able to get offensive with them.
