Nitpicky Lore Question: Gilneas/Greymane City

WoW Ladies, I call upon your knowledge on a matter of Lore that I have not been able to resolve to my own satisfaction.

As you can see, Gilneas City/Greymane City has a river that runs around and through it in the form of canals. This is, at least in part, clearly meant to evoke visual associations with London and the Thames, and I've been ( Read more... )

I assure you, none of London or the Thames looks like Gilneas, at least not in this century. ;) There are bits of Gilneas that definitely have a Britishness to them though, or remind me of smaller English towns.

Not in this century, no. But I do tend to think that the stylistic intent is fairly self-evident.

I know, I was just being a bit silly. I think it's not nearly cramped enough for a major city but yeah, I love the Victorian vibe (the female worgen accent grates me, though!).
