RAF question

I'm sorry if this has been asked. Im feeling very silly today. =/

I was wondering if the whole RAF thing worked if *I* bought them and gifted them to my friend? Same with the two months?

From what I understand, as I am impatiently waiting to see if they will get the page back up before the sale ends, is that they must use the code included in the RAF invite to create their account. Once they do that, however, and have an account, you should be able to buy/gift them with the game and/or game time.

I just bought another copy for myself (to RAF myself) and it gave me the code and asked if I wanted to apply it to my account or gift it to someone else. YMMV.

When my boyfriend bought the game, we tried to link it to my account, so that we could get RAF. We ended up doing something wrong, so that it went to a new trial account. I called Blizzard support, and told them what happened. They said it happened all the time, and it was no problem to link the two accounts correct accounts together, so that we'd get the benefits of RAF.

In short, I'd just call Blizz and double check that they can link the accounts if something goes wrong. I'm sure they can, but call to be 100% sure. I know I didn't have my bf use a code, and there was no problem.
