Why not? It worked back home. I mean sure, we were just a little village, but it's been working really well for... hundreds of years, I think.

That is the problem. Yes, within a village a system like that may work. What they're talking about here, though, is the Commuinsm of the Soviet Union.

I can see why they would make such a big deal out of it since this place is based on America in the 1950s.. They didn't really like communists back then.

Well, seeing as how I come from way in the past, and maybe from a different world, yeah no. I basically got here knowing nothing and I'm still figuring stuff out after... six months? More? Something like that.

Welp, I don't have one to give you, but it sounds like this is the exact opposite of how demon society works and humans are aaalways going on about how we're evil.

Every ideology has its fanatics. There are those within communism who think it alright to suppress dissenting opinion. But the system you describe is still a good one.

No. It is what is called in debate a "straw man". Basically you attempt to win by arguing against a view that your opponent doesn't actually hold.
