So you know what's almost as good as an orange? A pluot. I used to think i was pronounced with a silent t, but then I realized that it's a cross between an apricot and a plum, and it's really not getting a fancy name or anything like that. There are a lot of different types, though, and the skin can range from red to purple to orange to kinda green

[Does Merlin know where Olive's cabin is? Let's say he does. Aaand he's at her door with some brownies scrounged from the kitchen. Chocolate is like one of the best things he's ever discovered. Knock knock.]

[EH assume she told him, I am too tired for details. The knock drags her away from the shelves to answer, but not before she gets to AHA over finding Monopoly.]

Hey, come in. [She looks mostly okay, maybe a little down, but she's smiling for him so it's hard to tell.]

[Merlin's more perceptive than most people give him credit for, though. And....well, he already knows she's not okay. But with the aftermath of floods like this, it's really all you can do to give it time and keep distractions close to hand.]

[And Olive...doesn't feel up to slipping into confident, saucy Olive persona. So she manages a quick smile.] Well, good. That means the shower's working. [Awwwwkward laugh, but oh hey you brought something.]

What's that? [Does she smell brownies.]

Oh! They're - cakes? [He's vaguely aware they have a more precise name than that, but it's escaping him. He holds up the little paper package he's brought from the kitchen and unwraps it so she can see.]

Sounds like a good rule to me. [He glances around for a flat surface and sets them down.] I never had chocolate before I came here, and now...well, any excuse, really.
