[in the mind of one florence nightingale, there is nothing wrong with this picture. at all. considering it's rather late for anyone to be wandering around, especially drones, she doesn't seem to be paying much mind to her surroundings.

anyone passing by the football field located in the back of the school might come across either sight.

[When it comes to wandering around late, Shiki is a prime suspect and

...is staring at the crazy idiot who is on the ground doing who knows what.]

[just. moving across the ground and grabbing at his leg. pausepausepause...

wait. what.

...tree trunks shouldn't feel like material. there's something wrong with this. removing her hand and-

staring with what could be either mortification, horror, or both.]

...for some reason, I feel like I should be glad I can see in the dark.

Oh. Sorry.

[ALAS, comprehension! conclusion: shiki is definitely not the tree she was aiming for.

going to sheepishly scramble to her feet now, brushing herself off, which results in a minimal amount of dirt wiped away.]

...Seeing in the dark sounds like it might be a useful ability.

. . . What are you working on, Miss Florence?

[don't mind her visibly startling at the voice but she breathes a sigh of relief once she's taken note of who it is and offers a gentle smile.] It's a dress! I'm afraid I'm not too acquainted with sewing, though...

Oh. You look like you've been having some trouble, yeah.

[Lucas makes no more mention of the state Florence is in aside from that.]

I don't think I know much about it, either . . .

Only a little! My fingers are still unharmed. [holding up a hand that has, indeed, gone without the torment of various needles.]

The library seemed to have quite a few books, even if their selection is kind of limited.

[Florence does in fact cling to a tree here. However, Lewellyn is currently up said tree - he prefers high vantage points whenever possible - and he's watching her bemusedly.] The hell're you doing?

[if she didn't know any better, she'd be questioning why the tree is talking. instead, she simply freezes and stares up at the figure in the tree with an expression that could only be described as pure mortification.] Tactile...methods.

[that definitely sounded better in her head, okay. but she quickly adds:] And I think I lost a few of my things.

...uhunh. [Lyn looks less than impressed.] What're you doing out so late?

Is it already that late? [h-huff. realizing she's still on the ground and scrambling to her feet, clinging to the tree trunk for slight support.] Busying myself, I guess. It's a nice night, so...

[April has gotten into the habit of walking around at night and has thus mentally prepared herself for any sort of weird situations that may occur and...

...and someone is moving around on the ground. Whut?]

[sadly, this is probably one of the less odd situations that has been witnessed in mayfield and thankfully, it will probably be one of the few weird situations florence is involved in. how many leaves could possibly end up in her hair that quickly?

she's now feeling her way around the tree - no, wait. that is definitely someone's shoe. aaaaawkwardly glancing up.]

O-oh! I'm so sorry. I didn't really see you there.

[ On the bright side, at least she didn't go for the walking stick. And April isn't sure to laugh or be confused and that's been happening alot.]

I-it's fine! What are you doing anyway, if you don't mind me asking?

[she would have felt absolutely terrible if she did. but! letting go of the shoe and rising quickly to her feet, brushing some of the dirt off of her with a sheepish smile.]

I was trying some different approaches with my rifle and looking around for what I dropped at the same time. I'm sorry if I frightened you.
