Its so strange being back on the island. It brings up so many memories. I remember being the leader of my people as if it were yesterday. I also remember shooting my son, well, not knowing he was my son at the time, but nonetheless I remember that. Apparently he's alive and well; I saw him walking around the perimeter earlier. Maybe I can finally ( Read more... )

Let me make something very clear: I better not have to step into this "mother/son" thing. There will be no murdering of physcicists while I'm in charge.

Let me assure you, John, that that was a horrible mistake. It was the sacrifice the island had asked for, but Daniel is alive and well now and that is all I care about at the moment.
I just want to spend some time getting to know my son better.
I've spent his whole life pushing him so that he could fulfill his destiny. You of all people should know that, John.

What I know is, that every man finds his own destiny, Eloise.
I'm still not convinced that your incident with Daniel was in any way demanded by the island.

I will be keeping a close eye on you.

Believe what you may, John, but it was the sacrifice I needed to make.

Right now I want to put destiny aside and finally be able to listen to my son play the piano. He's a wonderful pianist. You should really hear him; he's got the ears and fingers of a classically trained pianist.

Indeed we do Richard. I must say, I have missed your company.

And don't worry, I have forgiven you for the whole pistol whipping incident. You were doing what you had to do.

I have missed your company as well, Eloise. Why don't we have breakfast tomorrow, with extra sugar cubes for our coffee ;)

That sounds absolutely wonderful, Richard.
I will see you in the morning.
Oh, and why don't we have breakfast outside, for old times sake. :)

Hello, Daniel.
It's been awhile.
How have you been, my dear?

I've been better. I came to this island, met a younger version of you. That went well.

What are you doing back on the island, anyway?

I remember that. It was quite awkward I must say.

I'm not entirely sure why I am back here. I had a odd feeling that you'd still be here; it was as if the island itself was calling me back.
I'm glad to be back though and I'm glad to see you.
