God, I love that man. Every single time I read or watch or listen to an interview with him, he seems so utterly charming and enthusiastic and really nice.
GOD, what a sweetheart. He always seems so amazed that people recognize and love him, it just makes me love him more. I wish there was some way to meet him and tell him so without looking MASSIVELY CREEPY, lol.
The thing I love best about Kevin Conroy is that he really does love Bruce too and you can tell he thinks a lot about Bruce and invests a lot on every performance. You just don't get that considered depth with the other Batman voice actors. The fact that he is such a nice guy is the icing on the cake. :-)
LOL!! How cool! I would have loved to witness that parking lot scene! ♥
This whole interview rocked, but the part, that I also find nice in relation to the Superman/Batman dynamic is this:
I think Batman thinks of Superman as the Dudley Do-Right of super heroes. He admires his strength and his character, but he also he thinks he's incredibly naïve and very unsophisticated about the world. Remember, Batman is also Bruce Wayne, so he's very urbane. He's very versed in the way of the world. And Superman is Clark Kent, and he's such a goof (he laughs). So it's almost all about the alter-ego - the darkness of Batman’s Bruce Wayne is balanced out by the sunny demeanor of Superman’s Clark Kent. That's where I think the distinction is. Batman just thinks that Superman is kind of a very, very naïve guy who always sees the goodness in everybody. And Batman tends to see the darkness.Totally like the fandom sees those two! ♥ Aren't they just made for each other?... I would like to go to a con and ask Kevin Conroy the slash question. *g* Would
