Fashionable Heroes

Jun 03, 2008 23:54

For those who missed the article/photo gallery on MSN...you simply have to see it.

All the movie heroes are graded on how well they work the runway. Bruce and Clark fare pretty well, especially when you see the grade they give Catwoman. Ouch.

The link is HERE.

P.S. Sorry for posting so much in one day!

Lol, I'm actually surprised the nipple suit did so well and I actually agree with them about the burgundy. :)

I was really surprised they were hard on the burgundy. In the movie I remember thinking, "Wow! It doesn't look like spandex and he looks good!"

I guess I never noticed the burgundy!

I TOTALLY agree with you about the nipple suit. Maybe George makes it work way more than anybody ever knew? They're right about Christian Bale having the body to be The Bat!

Oh no, I really liked the suit -- it looked good and manged to avoid the horrible eighties spandex vibe it could have gone for -- but I don't know. The burgundy bugged me a little - it was a little too dark a colour for Superman, at least as far as I was concerned. :)

Lol! I think the reason Christian Bale worked so well as the Bat was that he took it seriously -- he added muscle and all that stuff so he actually looked like a guy who you wouldn't want to run into in a dark alley you know?

...except for the fact that I really, REALLY want to run into Christian Bale in a dark alley...

and do things to his sexy, muscled body. (will I get in trouble for saying that, I wonder...) :)

But I know what you mean. He looked tough! I read an article where Bale complained about having to go to the gym to have that bod. He said he'd rather hang out a bar with his buddies. I thought about it and realized I was ever so glad he made the sacrifice. I mean...wow!

Maybe Burgundy IS a little dark for Clark. I wonder what the suit from "Man of Steel" will look like?

No, no. You're not alone. I saw an icon once with Routh as Supes and the text said, "I'm sorry, what was that movie about? I was distracted."

I think I agree. He was just so darn pretty. The whole movie was pretty but he was REALLY pretty in it. When they were beating him up, I kept thinking, "Stop beating up America...I mean...Superman!"

He really IS patriotic, isn't he?

I noticed Superman's new boots most of all in the film (aside from the *ahem* bulge). They're like biker boots, except red!

And was disappointed they judged Halle Berry's outfit. The Catwoman suit from the show and the second Batman movie were ace!

Good point! I hadn't thought about that.

Since they judged Batman on more than one of his manifestations, why couldn't they look at the older versions of Catwoman's suit? I think we need a recount!

Didn't you love the scene in the second movie where Selina tears through her closet for something shiny and black and then sits down at her sewing machine and starts making the suit with her tongue hanging out of her mouth like a madwoman? I think it's one of my favorite movie moments. She's so intense and crazy, but still really hot. :)

SO true! This was one of the best moments out of that movie. If only my mother had agreed to buying some PVC and teaching me how to use the sewing machine, I'd have a Catwoman costume of my own.

You've seen this cover, right? I adore the DCAU gray costume and the boobalicious purple costume. Say what you will about the yucky Catwoman movie MSN, but Selina's still a fashion star in my eyes :D

LOL! I agree! She's so fashionable.

OH my God that cover was great! My favorite part of it was that they have the animated series version. I used to have an action figure of her in that costume with the little gold belt and everything! It came in a Happy Meal and even had her big cat included and I LOVED it.

The boobalicious purple costume is my favorite from the comic. It was so darn swanky...sigh of joy.

Thank you so much for that pic! It makes me squeal!
