So, after wandering around for a while and talking to several people, I finally found someone willing to apprentice me for the time being. I'll be working in a boat yard, helping with repairs and such. It makes me happy that my dad droned on a lot about boats. I mean, everything's pretty much the same, minus technology. Awesome, you got a job! It gives hope to the rest of us. xD
I'm still trying to think of something I could apply for, but I'm pretty much useless in all aspects of life except whining and getting in the way.
Maybe I could pull off waitressing or whatever.

I wonder if anyone would get suspicious, with a whole bunch of people trying to find jobs at the same time?

Not really. Probably just think we all just arrived from England or something. Our numbers are relatively few compared to the overall number of residents.

Do you think I should even try to get a job? I'm only 14, and that could be really suspicious.

No suspicious at all. 14 is pretty standard job finding age. It's not like they'll be expecting you to be in school.

I'm hesitant to try to get one myself: I don't want anything tying my down here, because the minute on option to move on to another world presents itself, I'm taking it.
