I don't think about gravity much, but I guess I can see how people who are constantly bound to a spherical world would have trouble accepting another shape of planet. Am I correct in assuming each point on your planet rotates once through the moebius loop each day and once on its axis each year?
The better question is, what if your world really is some kind of cosmic symbol for ours, or the other way around? It will be fascinating for us to study each other in greater detail.

Your world isn't a symbol on our world-- until I had been pulled through I had no idea an alternate reality existed. My best guess is that an otherworld myth never developed thanks to our Mundane Egg hatching. You still have yours, so it was possible for a mythos to develop around it.
I wonder if yours would ever hatch, or what might come out of it?
