When I was little... my parents owned this huge farm way out in the boonies of Kentucky. Endless forests, constant streams... and it was my favorite place in the whole wide world.
I would knock over old trees, or even chop them down when my dad gave me a hatchet for Christmas, and build forts and small houses out in the woods. When my dad eventually felt I was old enough for a gun (at the age of 8), I eventually started shooting critters, and cooking them up right there in my little 8-year old fire pit in front of my little 8-year old fort.
I don't think I've ever been as happy as I was, when I ate burnt rabbit under the those stars.
