Sounds interesting. Reminds me vaguely of jennifer government, though only because of the corporations having a good deal of power over the individual. Not sure how much world influence they hold in your novel, in JG the corps literally are the government.
Do you intend to try and get it published in some form or another? I'd love to be able to promote a book of an author I knew, if only digitally. Though there's little I can do until you get it out there.
The company has a LOT of indirect influence, but no overt control of anything, and to be frank I don't think they really want or need it. They're a sort of a "consulting firm" that gets hired when things go horribly wrong, and they have a well-deserved reputation for getting shit done when no one else can (and you're desperate enough not to ask too many questions). Chances are they've done favors for powerful politicians that they could call in if needed, but it's more their style to simply accumulate them. When it comes right down to it, they're rather unconcerned with human institutions except as tools to be used for the ends of their masters. They're more concerned with the eschatological endgame and their masters' goals than any petty mortal government
