it defies comprehension. How could a ten year old girl agree to have sex?
I thought that was the point of statutory rape laws...

It's repulsive, isn't it? I read it in the newspaper here (I live in Australia) and I literally became nauseous. I can't believe people like this are in power.

The men haven't even had convictions recorded! Ridiculous.

I spent all day yesterday puzzling over that one. It's been on my mind all day today. On a positive note, had The Australian (newspaper) not broken the story, no one would have known about it. At least now the public outcry seems to be leading to an appeal against the (non) sentences.

My whole body still can't comprehend it... It is unbelievable

but it's also unbelievable that some people still belive that it is unbelievable for the "developed" world

again and again, some cultures are not dominated by cisgendered men, but by insensitive sexist people reinforcing same painfully harsh attitudes

it's even beyond the common sense and stereotypes...
