If you're not planning on renting a car, I would look into people doing short (day, maybe two-day) sightseeing bus trips, as it will be tricky touring the west of Scotland beyond Glasgow/Dumbarton without a car. I think Rabbie's is the one my ex and I used (they were great), but Timberbush looks nice too
