I once managed to assemble a queen-sized loft bed by myself. The bed itself wasn't that complex, but there was a lot of having to lift things over my head and line up bolt holes with one hand while finding the right bolt with the other hand. It's amazing how much torque 6-foot pieces of steel can produce when you have to hold them on one end.

Wait, so was the desk of your own design, or a pre-made do-it-yourself type thing? It sounds like a pretty neat desk, mon. How's Cali treating you?

Memorable thing I have built...hmm. I don't build a whole lot. I do remember designing and attempting to build a cat play-thing out of shoe boxes, string, masking tape, and various other unstable materials that would involve trolleys, slides, climbing gyms, etc. Obviously, it never worked, due to the fact that it never would have supported the cat, and the fact that my cat had no interest whatsoever in playthings and would have preferred to chase squirrels. But hey, when you're six, anything's possible. Sort of.
