Bike Advice

So I'm thinking I want to buy a bike. It seems silly to be living in the city and driving everywhere I go, especially with non-freezing weather just around the corner. The problem is that I haven't owned a bike since the one my parents bought me when I was seven and I haven't ridden a bike since high school. So I have no clue as to what to look for

You are totally cute enough to walk into the bike shop up behind The Charles and pick their brains, you can probably find a cool used bike there, and get them to fix it for you when its fucked up. On the other end of that it seems that Giants are a good all purpose new bike. I do like my Schwinn beach rider, but its too heavy for what I need to do, which is climb into the mountains every day. But i think you would look f-ing classy on a cute cruiser model bike in baltimore. I think Julia's dad might also be a good source of bike knowledge.
