Thankful Thursday

I have oh so much to be thankful for today.

1) Being accepted into the Vermont College of Fine Arts MFA program in Writing for Children and Young Adults.

HH asked me if I had any doubts. Until it's a done deal, I always have doubts, especially where the word "acceptance" is involved. Probably because I spent my earliest years not being accepted for

Hmm, I wonder if it was a grandmother thing. We had ours warm for dessert with a scoop of vanilla frozen yoghurt, and the combination was as good as I remember it being. It brought back visions of my grandmother's dining table, which had a polished oak surface, but was otherwise painted pink with black trim to look like a kitchenette set. Because that's also the sort of person my grandmother was.

Wow! What a great post! Congratulations on the MFA program, which should be wonderful! And all the other goodnesses, too -- the writing, and Pearl, and pracitcal Grammy, and blueberry buckle... summer at its best!
