Thankful Thursday

Today is not an easy day to give thanks. Yesterday LK Madigan, who started Thankful Thursday, died. Libya, Bahrain, and Yemen are resisting the desire of their people for more freedom. Christchurch, New Zealand is  suffering in the aftermath of a major earthquake.

And yet

There are things to be thankful for.

The shelterbox thing sounds cool. I've been involved in putting together a number of emergency supply kits, and I'm a big believer in being prepared--both for your own disasters, and to help others!

Shelterbox is supercool in every way. I love the way it combines with food aid to give people what they need to get through tough times.

I can't imagine life without libraries! I'd have trouble reading as much as I do without them.
