I'm exceedingly sorry to hear about your ankle. And exceedingly curious about the super-secret project, especially since it is somehow Izzard-inspired.

Ankle is tendonitis, for which elevation, icing, and rest are prescribed. Good excuse to spend plenty of time writing, don't you think?

Loving that pic of you writing outside...even with the wonky ankle, you look at peace. :)

Thanks! I do feel peaceful. The ankle is more a bothersome occasional distraction.

OMG is right, but no, I'm not re-writing Carrie. Well, can't actually say that, since I've only ever read two books by Stephen King and one was On Writing.

In this case, OMG is because, my dear long-time (I refuse to say old, because we're not) friend, you are a huge part of the reason I'm writing this book.

Goodness, I'm not sure what to make of that. I need to try to read through a bit more of your blog to see what this is really all about. My Carrie comment was just because it contains what may be literature's most famous prom scene.

Let's just say that I've taken a certain situation and updated it, with characters of whom only one is based on an actual person and that one is me as I was back in high school.

So, total fiction, but inspired by personal history.
