1. Four out of 12 students showed up for class today. I was expecting 10 (two had sent early excuses). Three of the absentees overslept, as they told me later. Must be that time in the semester. Luckily for me, I had built in a catch up day next week, so we'll cover the material I went over in class with these four (who now have an excused free day

I would love to be in Vermont tomorrow.
I would love to be in the Vermont snow, and see the Vermont mountains, and have maple syrup on snow. . .jackwax?

Yeah, what is up with these temperatures? I'm kinda hoping for a little winter.

Wow - your daughter will be home soon, and it feels as if it was just last week that you were posting about her leaving! (Then again, I did have a rather distracting autumn . . . )

It's not that she'll be home soon--we're going to be in Edinburgh for Christmas and after a few other spots, Dublin for New Year's.

But it does seem as if it was only last week, or maybe last month, that she was leaving.
