I finally finished the essay I had to write on Fence and Rebecca Wolff. This essay has been a thorn in my side for almost a month due to scheduling issues and I ended up having to ask for an extension on it. Either way it is now done and I am extremely proud of it

i think i saw fence mentioned in p&w mag a bit back and then i was so happy to see you were interning there. how awesome! it's so good to see, you know, dreams like that come alive.

Write? Who has time for that? I would love to send you something but I have nothing new! I hope to really grind my nose into this short story I have been tinkering at forever while I'm doped up on painkillers and recovering next week--that should be interesting. I also hope to write at least one short story over Winter Break and I will send them your way!

sounds good! i really, i dunno, maybe it's silly of me, but i really wanna get a firm group of people i share writing with, since i am no longer in workshopping classes and stuff. it's so, ugh, tough. though, i was invited to attend a bi-weekly workshop with this guy i know, so i may take him up on that offer. if only to, you know, get involved.

finish that short story! i'm doing this nano and it's killing me. haha. it's so badly written, but, longform fiction isn't my strong point (c'mon man, i did all my undergrad work in poetry, you can't blame me!). i'm picking away at it. i'm going to do it if it kills me.

i know we don't talk a lot and you must think i'm kinda nuts, but, bear with me here. hahha. if you ever get bored and you're on some sort of chat device, hit me up. if you need my contact info, hit me up as well. haha.

also, seeing the lethem ref in your essay made me grin. seeing him read this past weekend was a total trip. such good things. you're correct, this rebecca sounds amazing. you're quite lucky to have met her.
