Zucchini!

A co-worker brought in a bunch of giant mutant zucchini from his garden yesterday, attempting to foist the hydrocephalic flora off on those of us not living on top of a nuclear missile silo.

Of course, my thoughts were not of radiation sickness and cancerous tongue lesions, but of FREE FOOD. And so I took one.

You are entirely too attached to your veggies, young man! Straighten up since I'm loaning you my daughter. Providing she survives riding in the bucket of the earth mover, and the log splitter, oh, and spending time with Papa.

I've never attempted to cook with butternut squash. If the opportunity ever arises, I'll be sure to wear chainmail gloves.

Oh, butternut squash is actually quite benign...it's the butterCUP squash you have to look out for!!!

I discovered another excellent way to eat zucchini. Slice thinly, baste with a little bit of butter and garlic salt. Grill. Yummy.

Zuchinni is great when grilled and added to a grilled veggie sandwich, yummy! Also slice thin. Layer in baking dish with canned tomatoes, chopped garlic, sliced onion, salt\pepper, and little bit of olive oil. Roast until slightly carmelized and serve. So good and very good for you.
