the hardest part about standing up for something is that sometimes no one gets it. even the people closest to you don't understand. sure they support you because they love you and that's their job, but it doesn't make it any easier.

the fact that you were silent and that you got people talking is the important part. when i participated in day of silence my freshman year, i think i was more hurt by the fact that no one seemed to care than by the people that called me names.

the thing with standing up for something you believe in is that there is always going to be someone who tries to tear you down because they don't believe in it or because they are scared.

i'm glad you have such a positive outlook on all of this. it's really refreshing. :)

you're a fantastic person. i am very fortunate to know you.

p.s. isn't it cool that hillary won PA.

i LOVE you jenn roberts! i know exactly what you mean about people not caring being more hurtful than name calling. because you know that people will call names, but it can be shocking how insensitive people are! i so appreciate your wisdom and love to hear from you!

and it is amazing that hillary won in pennsylvania! she always manages to come out and when at times she needs it most!
