Okay, yes, the hug is gorgeous. I especially adore the image of Regina's fingers in Emma's hair.
But I love the vulnerability and guardedness playing over one another in Regina, the moment when she "looked as though something miraculous had happened." when Henry hugged her (which nearly broke my heart).
I love the way Regina keeps just shutting it down and walking away, particularly at the end of the scene.
And I forgot to mention in the last chapter how much I ADORED Emma telling Henry to be nice to Regina because she's his mother and she loves him. (What I wouldn't give to hear that just once in canon!) And even more so here where I could just picture Regina in that moment of pure stripped sincerity when she realized Emma really said that.
Thank you! I was way too excited to write in a hug between those two. :)

That is actually something I really love about the way Lana plays Regina. I mean, here you have this character that's supposed to be evil and supposed to be hated. Then Lana takes her and throws in little flickers of vulnerability or goodness that make her so incredibly nuanced as a character you can't help but feel for her and love her.

That's what I see, anyway. :)
