Retro-Rec #6
I don't know where/when the genre of "improv" fanfic started, but it was a big thing for early Firefly fandom. Today's rec is by Nicole Clevenger (a/k/a shyday), a Zoe story set after the events of "War Stories." It's a beautifully detailed contrast of the every-day ordinary life on Serenity with constant risks and dangers that life entails.

Be forewarned--if you haven't pre-ordered the Firefly soundtrack, and may be looking for it locally, the Wal-Mart here had only one copy available. One. I was there early when the vendors were still unpacking the new releases and got it right out of the box.
I like the movie soundtrack, but I looooooooovvvve this so much more!
