So, I got this brilliant idea today. There seem to be so many people new to Firefly fandom, and so many of them venturing into writing fanfic, that they may miss out on the fandom's rich (short, but rich) history. Even if they go seaching for older stories, they may overlook some of the "classics." (Well, classic in my mind, at any rate.)

oh yay! i love reading why people love different stories, and i LOVE reading people's recs. Ive read both of these before, but i cant wait to see what some of your other recs will be.

Oh, thank you for the rec! I am one of those newbies, so I appreciate the nudge towards the fandom 'classics'. =)

Thank you so much for rec'ing Lex Talionis. I was about to go to bed when I clicked the link, and then stayed up to read for two straight hours cos once I started I just couldn't tear myself away...

SO. I've been a lurker here for 24 hours so far (-grin-) and plan to continue... only something's really been bothering me and I need to ask:

Have you ever had an icon as your mood setting/fic accompaniment, of Inara crying (from Heart of Gold)? I thought I saw it here, and now I'm driving myself crazy looking for it... =P

Glad you found things here to your liking! I hope you'll take the time to send a comment to authors of anything you read here.

I don't believe I have an icon as you describe...you may have seen it in someone else's comments...
