Pentathlon Fic #2: Adama/Roslin

Title: Elysium
Wordcount: 535
Summary: Laura and Bill discuss where they'd like to spend eternity.
Author's Note: This may be literally the first time I've ever written dialogue for Roslin, lol. Go easy on me! :D Also, thanks to wicked_sassy for her grumpy encouragement.

He didn’t want a photo to remember her by at all, didn’t want to think he’d need one. )

This is sweet and your Roslin dialogue sounds fine. I like the idea that Bill loves the mature Laura. I think that her maturity and courage is what makes her such a compelling character.

Thanks! I feel like the memorial wall is such a sad, beautiful concept...and while it's lovely they eventually made it to open air, it's sad, in it's way, that they didn't get to spend eternity the way they planned.

Oh my this is so beautiful and my heart aches at the same time.
Especially these lines:

“It’s not for you to keep,” she replied. “I’ve heard it’s practice among your pilots to pick where you’d like to be placed,” she said. “Where you’d like to spend the afterlife.”

“You don’t need to tell me where to place you,” he said.

“Bill…”

“You’re going to be fine,” he said. “Everything’s going to be fine.”

That's so Bill, not willing to acknowledge just yet that she will die.
Thank you for this lovely story.

Thank you for the lovely comment! Bill does get rather denial-y over the people he loves, doesn't he?

This is so beautiful and so heart wrenching. And the last line just flayed me.
