Pointless College Stories 2, Episode 6: Short Plays

I'm going to steal an idea from fish_tie. I'm shameless that way. Fish told a fun story today about the squirrels at University Park. I was there a little longer than Fish was, so I have a bunch of squirrel stories, but none of them were really good enough to warrant an entry on their own. So let's try a variation on the theme.

Growing up where I did there were lots of squirrels, but they were little, brown and cute, and they mostly didn't bother me. Especially since my dog chased them mercilessly and my kitten occasionally killed them. Anything that was afraid of our fat-assed dog and could be killed by my fluffy puffy kitty cat couldn't be that evil, you know ( ... )

Union and Wash Sq park squirrels are similar. They will sit right atop the fence or fence-post and beg. And they pretty much eat anything, and believe it or not are basically tamed by this point. They will come right up to you and eat from your hand.

You occasionally see lone or groups of foreign tourists [particularly Asians] just come to a complete halt and stare at a squirrel running/stopping right by them. They're so mystified.
