piratelemur, over on laddical's blog, mentioned that her niece is currently a high school freshman. Leems, you need to remember that some of us in the target audience can remember when your niece was born, and since we are now old, we have fragile constitutions, you need to give us warning, like this:

I have a nephew in High School. He has a cell phone, and evidently several girls text him every day to his mother's distaste. [and shock, really.]

I was shocked she allowed him to have one, but it is evidently beyond *impossible* to be a teen without one. I suppose that's true, I guess with a family plan and all it may not even cost extra, per se.
