That actually did occur to me, and as the only vaguely rational explanation, I guess it has to be the leader in the clubhouse, but who sells t-shirts in lots of a dozen? I don't think it's just t-shirts I've heard referred to that way, but I can't prove that. So unless they sell everything in lots of a dozen...which I guess maybe they could, but it would be kind of strange.
